The CNN Sellout: Star Jones Trumps Everything

The ultimate Hollywood Conspiracy - entertainment news overshadows relevant, important wolrd news.

I will quote directly from the TV Squad:

Here it is, 11:18am or so, and what does CNN have on right now? Nope, not breaking news or political coverage or news on the war in Iraq. They are rerunning the Star Jones interview from last night.

This, in a word, is vile. Why is she getting so much press? Why are the news networks treating this like it's some sort of important news story, instead of a pop culture/celeb thing? It boggles the mind that CNN would interrupt their weekday sked to show this again.

Barbara Walters Is Very Angry At Star Jones

Ok - I stand corrected on one account (or do I?) apparently, Star Jones really did suprise The View gals with her "announcement" that she's leaving.

Let's see what Barbara Walters has to say about all this (I feel like a kid scolded in school after watching her passive aggressive admonishment).

I guess Joy Behar's "I'm shocked" comment yesterday meant actually that she was shocked Star was speaking out of turn...

[via Best Week Ever]

Conspiracy: This is all a calculated PR move, as The View's rating have been dwindling for several months now.

Star Jones gives her fanasty exit speech to no one who cares

Here is the awkward and fake announcement from Star Jones yesterday...all teary-eyed that she is leaving The View.

This is classic Hollywood Conspiracy folks:
- the "interruption" was pre-planned
- all the women hate each other
- the audience was forced to stand and cheer
- Star Jones can't cry any more b/c her face is now plastic

No One Will Pay For (fake) Pictures of Suri Cruise

From Fox News

If like everyone else you've been wondering what happened to Suri Cruise and why we've never seen a picture of her, here is part of the answer: No one wanted to pay for her.

According to my sources, a photo shoot of Suri was offered to Wire Image, the prestigious agency, for sale to the various celebrity magazines right after the little "Mission: Impossible"/"Dawson's Creek" tyke was born in silence to her unmarried movie star parents Tom Cruise and the dazed-looking Katie Holmes.

An auction was conducted, with People, Us Weekly, Star and the lesser names like In Touch all putting in their two cents.

The Cruise auction is said to have produced not more than a $3 million bid. At that point, the offer was rescinded. The mission was termed "impossible." No further word was heard from the Cruise camp.

Exactly who from Cruise's strange inner circle initiated the contact is still unknown, although I am told the enterprise was "official." It's likely that the Church of Scientology would have gotten a cut, too, considering they like to take 10 percent of everything from their celebrity clients.
